Advocated for members in crisis to receive support services.
Developed a brand guidelines template to be used across national AmeriCorps teams.
But what did I reeeally do ?
I spent a year developing strategic initiatives and transition services in government by using the principles of UX design to redesign government healthcare platforms. I was able to spearhead the launch of a newsletter, yearbook for alumni, and changes to be made for the Community Health Worker training and grant. I collaborated with our AmeriCorps members, providing direct strategic help in times of crisis. I engaged in systemic crisis management strategic consulting sessions with the Health and Human Services AmeriCorps teams of Iowa.
I worked to lighten the cognitive load of our most efficient government service members by advocating for them to use local nonprofits for food support, housing security and child care assistance. I became a Community Health Worker and completed my training in Community Health Worker status while giving actionable change consultancy to the leaders of Iowa Health and Human Services.
Was directly trained by the team that wrote universal healthcare laws into being a thing, and learned so much from them. Followed a set federal branding guidelines throughout service, created materials for legislation decisions and stakeholder and donor meetings. References are glowing and upon request.
